I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by saturation.

I find this helps people understand it:

I found this image that might help with figuring out what's wrong with the left eye.

Sorry I forgot to check back in to provide an example of what I was talking about. Here's Andrew Loomis demonstrating. Imagine the the head inside a cube, and it helps you plan the perspective:

Also, if you want to improve in general, read the Andrew Loomis books!

Readimix in the US

Ew! I've never heard him called this before.

Again, it looks like most of us are having the same problem with the same puzzle. Interesting! I wonder how this passed through playtesting?

Gribbler's spoiler is where I am too. Glad to know I'm not alone.

Playing through over the past few days. Act II has the first poorly designed / unfair puzzle. The first time I've resorted to a hint system.

Granted. Your new mastery of language means the vapid inferiority of your thoughts, previously obscured by your incoherence, is now plain and clear for the world to see.

I wish for your freedom, genie!

Thank you all for giving me a case study to discuss in my Intro to Comm. Theory class today. We covered Walter Fisher's Narrative Paradigm, in which he states that we don't really accept arguments based on rational applications of logic, but rather that we hear stories and then decide whether or not they are coherent and ring true to us.

I would love to see the data on how many go out to sea.

Was going to post this earlier. New York doesn't worry about hurricanes because they generally don't make land there. Source: I lived in New York when hurricanes hit, both post 9/11. Do we want to bring climate change into this thread too?

Actually the thing I've found the hardest is to construct her eyes in this angle.

Eyes in three quarter are in perspective! Draw perspective lines from the front-most eye and it'll be easier.

Oooh...I don't know if I'm up to that. Why don't you give us another one, and I'll try to think of one for the future?

I stink at math, but my reasoning would run something like this:

  • If Wonky Island is always last, it should be dropped from has no bearing on the number of possibilities we're considering.
  • If Oceanspirit is first or second, that means:
    • Three possibilities in the first slot with Oceanspirit in the second (A)
    • Three possibilities in the second slot with Oceanspirit in the first (B)
    • A combination of the others in third or fourth for each (C)
    • For each A, there are two C groups. For each B, there are two C groups.
  • Therefore, (3x2)+(3x2)=12

My guess is 12, though I think it's unlikely I'm correct.

Thank you! Will check this out this evening!

Perspective grid, with arbitrary curvature (I like it for rooms, and fits the kind of curves I tend to naturally use when I sketch freely):=

Any chance you have a higher res version of this you wouldn't mind sharing for us to try out?

Vince is working on a nice-looking new comic. I follow him on Twitter....

Go out to eat now. You will think, I have a newborn -- we can't go out. We'll wait 'til she's older. But this is the easiest and quietest your baby will be for awhile. Once she turns two, your peaceful evenings out will disappear.
